Choosing the right career can be one of the hardest choices to make, whatever your age. As a parent or carer, you represent a significant role in the decisions your child makes, starting with the choice of school they attend.

Careers guidance is key to social mobility. It presents young people – whatever their background – with the skills and information they need to make sound decisions about their best next step. Insight and experience is everything when it comes to making career decisions...working alongside Flight, passing on that invaluable experience effectively, and helping them feel like they can achieve anything they want...because they can!

One of the key things you can do to support your child, is be there for them. They will be nervous about making a plan for their future, and this will be mainly fuelled by a limited confidence that they can aspire and achieve any career they desire.

Talk to them about what it feels like to be at work, how you felt when you had to decide your career path, if you felt nervous when starting your first job and how you overcame that, if you could, would you change what you do for a living and how you may go about it now.

Do I need to sign up to Flight?

You do not need to sign up to Flight. Most of the resources and information are free to browse, however, to access all of the more personal features, like 'Flight Lounge' and the 'Personality Test', you will be required to create a login.

What about my child?

The answer to this question is similar to that above...no. If you are here to support your child, there is a strong chance that your child already has a login account through their school or college. This will give them full access to Flights' features and enable your child to save their searches into their 'Flight Cart'.

My child's school doesn't have access to Flight?

No problem, we have a Flight Package for everyone! Head over to packages to view the individual package offer, or get in touch with your child's school to tell them all about us. The benefits of a school account is that they can monitor the activity of your child, and support further if needed
